I agree with them
I know all of my closest friends. I can tell what mood they are in and sometimes exactly what they are thinking just by looking in their eyes.
The eyes are the window to the soul..... especially when you know what to look for.
If you look into the eyes of a stranger it's like looking into the window of a strange house, everything that you see may or may not be interesting, but nonetheless you will not understand what it is that you see.
But when you are looking into the eyes of someone that you know, you understand what it is that you see, and a new form of communication that you never knew of before begins to form. When you look into the eyes of someone you know it's like looking into the window of their house. As you look upon that scene you can laugh and cry and completely comprehend what plays out in front of your eyes.
You can see many emotions, and it is up to you to interpret them, and ultimatly this will give you your most reliable instincts about the subject. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, their eyes let you know what kind of a person that they are.
When it's a stranger, you look, you watch, but becoming part of the action is rarely, if ever thought of.
When you look into the eyes of one that you know, you not only look, but become a part of it, you interact and help decide, conciously or unconciously, what the end result will be.
As you develope a more personal relationship with that person you not only become part of what you see in their eyes, but you want to be part of what you see in their eyes. As simply a friend or something more you wish to be included in their lives.
When you know them best, you can interpret their soul based not as how they look at the world, but as how they look at you.
This is how you decide who your true friends are, because not every one that you know is a friend, you may know them well, but that doesn't mean that you get along.
