the last one is the best one

I can still remember when i was a freshman....Webster was the sprinting coach, and i loved the way he coached us. he always had this saying at the end of our workouts, a saying that has stuck with me these past four years.

The Last One Is The Best One

he'd say this every time right before we started our last run of the day.

for four years i have lived by this philosophy, and i realized yesterday how much it means to me, especially now. This is my fourth year running track. My fourth and final year running track as a Tiger for South High.

This will be my last year donning the orange and black.

well Webster, this one is for you. This will be my last year, and this will be my best year.

Track, it's what i live for.........and it started yesterday.

We had a real easy workout, three lap strider warm-up, stretch, run a mile, not jog - we had to run it.

it felt so good to be officially running for the team again, not just doing it for the heck of it. and i was really able to feel and see how running all winter made a big impact on how i did yesterday.

Now on to today, we're running timed 300's. Today is my day, i will bust out the greatest 300 in the history of south high track. i just talked to Khan (this season is also for you who believes in me most)
like 10 minutes ago about tonight, we have to run at least one 3, we can do a second one if we want, but either way we're still going to have to run four 400's afterward. it's the second day of practice and we're already gonna hit it hard and thats why we're gonna have an absolutely dynamite mid-distance squad this year!----------------------oh yeah, and this workout we're doing tonight, we're doing it outside.

today is my day

CARPE DIEM BABY!!!
