It has gotten to me...

So if you are familiar with me at all, you know i have an unhealthy obsession with knitting. I've become soo much better about spending large amounts of money on yarn, now i'm using up what i have. In order to do so, i've been lurking around the internet picking up free patterns here and there that look cool. I've managed to avoid the large sinkholes of time, mainly those knitting/crocheting communities that you join and then have to check several times an hour. Well i was sucked in. I approached the whole thing with trepidation, waiting for the inevitable tug on my sanity to keep checking the website all the time. It never happened. Whenever i got into reading a thread on the forum, all the nonsense commentary that added nothing to the topic kept getting in the way. So i ended up getting disgruntled and swearing off the forums (except help threads, maybe) for a long time. It was diappointing. I think the main aspect of it is that there's this huge opinion (prevalent on the internet) that everyone's opinion is important. This is an underlying issue on every website that has indiscriminate posting. So you end up with people posting all sorts of tidbits that would be edited right out of any paper or publication. Sometimes reading through thousands of lines of crap for the one piece of information you need is just too much work.

In a brighter mood, i am glad it is Friday. So medfair is next weekend, anyone want to go? I'm trying to get a large group to run around with on saturday. let me know!! Guess that's it for now, i had many things to rant about, but i find it is suddenly too much effort to type it all out. Fingers sad. Drinking without enough sleep afterwards hurts. Oh well. Have a good weekend!
