We packed the day before which went a lot better than I expected because I'm horrible at packing for trips. Unfortunately the packing list I had made a week before went missing so I still had to do it on the fly, but overal it went well(only thing I forgot was my swim suit bottoms, which lead to me now having a pretty cool Disney swim suit haha). Trip to Cedar Rapids was hectic because of rush hour eing even worse than expected, and checking in with Allegiant was easy but it was busy there though, but after they started giving the Orlando passengers priority since our plane was already boarding at that time things were moving a lot faster.
She did really well on the flight, she loved looking out of the window :)
The flight to Orlando was really easy, especially compared to our flight back home but more on that later, Orlando-Sanford was easy to navigate and we got out of there pretty easily to find the Alamo terminal. The drive to WDW was not too hard, it took about 45 minutes which wasn't too bad but by then with all the little delays here and there we knew Animal Kingdom in the afternoon wwasn't going to happen. So I canceled the fastpasses for Monday and we decided to do a half day on Thursday, which was originally going to be our rest day, instead. I loved using the Disney app for fastpasses because I did all this on the way to WDW, I even managed to get everything I originally had for Monday afternoon moved to Thursday morning.
Seeing this was amazing.
Check in at Pop Century was easy and we loved the resort.
The view from our room was pretty spectacular. On the other side of the lake is the Art of Animation resort where we would be staying for the last two days of our trip.
After getting settled in a bit it was time to go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge to go eat at Boma. Boma is a buffet restaurant with African dishes. It was delicious especially these babies called Zebra domes.
After that it was time to go back to our room to get ready for bed because we had an important date the next morning...
