ALIVE AND 25!!
holy crap!!!
it has been a while since I last posted... life kinda came at me and I couldn't express myself...
okay, big updates for people who use this...
this past june, I was in a horrible car accident...
I broke my neck, lost the better part of two fingers on my right hand, chipped my front tooth, and had a tear in my right retina...
I wasn't driving at the time, but my friend was and he in a weird twist of fate, walked away from the crash with only a minor facial scar...
he is feeling extremely guilty and he shouldn't... it was the wrong conditions, I had driven the whole night before down to oakland to pick him up when my check engine light came on... we switched to his car and started driving to colorado... we got to reno NV and stopped to have lunch... about 30 mins later we were in the middle of the desert, with nothing but desert and highway in the scenery, and we both dozed off... We woke up with a start when we hit the rumble strip and he slightly over corrected and we started to flip into the median... I blacked out then...
I am grateful to be alive, thing are different now, I can't play the instruments that I used to and I am learning to type with one finger on the jkl; side of the keyboard... but all in all, I celebrated my 25th birthday that might have not been, and for that, I am truly blessed....
okay, currently my recovery is finishing, I still have lots to accomplish with my retinal surgery but my neck and fingers are doing well...
I am now back in WA and loving every second... we just had some crazy weather and it was amazing!!!
streets were flooded and still are being shutdown... it has finally stopped raining for a bit and it is beautiful outside...
I am ready to see the folks again and really excited to see Maki our new dog and my sister, who has been in Japan...
I also can't wait for classes to really start for me in January...
