Saturday, September 24, 2005: Great Hall, Breakfast, Ravenclaw Table
((This is an open thread, it's at my journal b/c I couldn't get it in before the day change due to multiple problems.))
Galatea sat down at the Ravenclaw table in her usual place and started dishing food out. It was the first birthday she'd ever spent away from her parents, and even though they'd promised a present she was a bit afraid they'd forget her. She had mentioned it in her diary and left her diary out, hoping maybe Holly would get curious about her life somehow (not likely, as Galatea was exceedingly dull and knew it) and read it and then plan a surprise for her. At least there were no classes today, so she could spend the whole day reading. The weather was looking to be good, too, so she could even read outside. She had noticed a lovely tree by the lake, and hoped no one else would be sitting there.
She sighed aloud as she took a bite of the mixture of fruit in front of her. The mail was supposed to come any minute now...
