"The Season"
I love the whole holiday season. We're barely into it, but I'm loving it. For me it starts on Halloween, but the autumn scents start even earlier. Some of my friends think that I'm crazy for enjoying the season so much when I work in retail. I think I have the opposite of SAD. I get happy when the weather cools down, which is odd because I hate being cold. There's just something that makes me very happy. I love the scents of spiced pumpkin, cranberry, and vanilla. I like watching all the people while they shop. It's a little early for that, though. I love the way the air smells when it's cooler.
Hey, I just got a phone call from John, he finally got his offer! I can finally stop worrying about his job security. It's a big relief.
Tripping the Rift and American Gothic are out on DVD. John picked up TtR, but I want American Gothic so bad. I'm kind of surprised they released it, but I can't complain. I hear that the episodes aren't in order, though.
Soooo... since the season is coming up, I fully expect my RL friends to post your wishlist. I'm terrible at picking out gifts. Just don't be surprised if I forget everything on your list and give you cookies instead (see my friends-only post from the other day).
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! My mom just came by to let me know that my aunt from NC is going to be here TONIGHT! I'm not supposed to tell my grandparents, my aunt wants it to be a surprise! The grandparents are going to be so pissed, as arriving unannounced is one of the great Southern faux-pas. But, as John points out to me, they won't tell her, they'll just rant to me later. Crap, my house isn't even clean from the weekend. SHITSHITSHIT I have to go clean. My aunt's house is immaculate.
