People cover up insecurities and fears by lies.
This doesn't solve anything.
It takes a long time to discover that you aren't always in the driver's seat about things.
Incredible- it's so stunning to realize this.
Sometimes there's nothing you can do about the things you care the most about.
Unless you have experienced this (which, I'm sure, most people have), you do not understand the degree of frustration this brings.
Difficult doesn't even begin to describe the feeling of watching someone slip through your hands.
Coping with this requires maturity, patience, and humility- all of which I feel I currently lack.
Yet, my life is not my own.
And people never fail to surprise me with their changes.
So, there's no sense in worrying.
I'm going to love you no matter what happens.
The love of a friend is worth suffering for.
I'll take that pain & I'll look in the mirror & I'll grow.
And I hope in that mirror, I will always see you standing right behind me.
