Babylon 5 Rewatch
I've been rewatching the TV series Babylon 5. It's a study in telling a long story over and extended period of time. I am currently part way through season 2.
One of my favourite episodes so far has been Acts of Sacrifice. G'Kar, the Narn ambassador, asks the Earth federation and the Minbari for help in the Narn/Centauri war.
The episode is well written and very well acted but is it ever hard to watch. The governments of Earth and Minbar will not get involved in the war, which the Narn are losing badly. It's difficult to watch the characters putting themselves at risk to help (against the wishes of their governments or their own people) while none of their efforts are anywhere near enough.
