DJ Catherine Spinning at Hump Nite
A couple of weekends ago when we were (the only people) hanging out at Galaxy Hut for my LOTD thing, I was jokingly giving the bartender a hard time for not carding me. He said it was because he'd seen me there at Hump Nite a few times before and, in fact, thejam told him that they should get me to DJ hump nite. So he signed me up for January 19th. He said something about "bringing a crowd," to which I guffawed. (Though it would be nice if some of you guys could come. So if you are seeing this post, consider yourself invited.)
I'm kind of excited about this. I get to make a four-hour playlist and then get paid at the end of the night for playing music I like while I drink. (I wonder if you can do this sort of thing for a living?) Also, I was thinking of playing a mid-Atlantic set since I've accumulated so much good regional music from LOTD.
