Tornado

As some of you may know a tornado ripped through my hometown of Suffolk yesterday. Luckily my family and friends are all safe and there was no damage done to their homes. 200 people were injured and 145 homes were destroyed but miraculously no one was killed.

Two of my cousins were in the YMCA across the street from Obici Hospital (which received minor damages). They were safe but a little shook up. They saw the tornado and debris flying as well as heard it and power went out in the building. My sister was on the road as it touched ground and almost drove into it but luckily missed it just in time.

My aunt Linda who lives in Va. Beach was calling up everyone in Suffolk warning about the storms and possible tornado. She told my uncle, her husband, not to go to his job site in Suffolk but he blew her off. He watched the tornado touch down and wreck havoc across the street from him and all he could think was "Linda is going to KILL me".

I know Cole was asking about NSA. There was no damage done to the school but two families (no one I knew or recognized) were affected. One lost their roof and the other family's home was completely destroyed.

It really is a miracle no one was killed. Like my family, I'm sure plenty of people brushed off the tornado warnings. We never get one much less three F4 tornadoes. The weather men kept referring to it as a Hurricane since those we get almost every year.

I hope everyone's family and friends are safe.
