My Holiday session with Annika
It was so fun to work with my grown model.:) Unfortunately my completely Americanized child always tries to pose and give me a fake "cheese" smile. I hear it in photo shoots a lot, when parents tell their kids to "smile and say cheese". And of course we get a cheesy fake smile on the photos. So I am trying to avoid it as much as possible these days.
So I had to "work with my model" to capture her natural expressions. And I love to see a "serious" or just calm and quiet expression on her face. I also of course love when she smiles or laughs but I like when it just happens naturally:)
After the nice walk/photo shoot in Menlo Park Art's Guild, we had a celebratory lunch and my little model enjoyed a delicious piece of warm flowerless chocolate cake. It was a good treat for mom photographer too!
