I'm back!
Writing from home after the long trip back. Had a lovely overnight stopover in LA - many thanks to my friend M for playing chauffeur and letting me crash at her pad near the airport. The $10 extra I spent for Southwest auto-check-in was excellent - scored seats 1F and 1A respectively for the flights home, which in particular made the 35-minute high-speed connection at Midway much more pleasant and low-stress.
Jet lag is strange. Somehow my body clock is sort of on European time, as near as I can calculate - wtf? Seems like the only place I *didn't* go.
I'll have pics up and various other things once I get back up to speed and catch up on everything.
