Icon of the new puppy. The schnoodle. She's nuts, bouncie, yappy, and adorable.
Pippin doesn't think much of her. They sleep withing feet of each other, but
every night around 9-10pm they bark at each other for about an hour.

Having trouble house breaking Rosie. (The only female Hobbit name we knew)

She really is adorable. I hope Pippin adjusts and that Rosie respects her elders.

Survival of the cutest, as my ex always says. (Actually, when he called 2 days ago, he said, "Two dogs? Are you out of your mind? What were you thinking?)

Rosie obviously recognizes that Pippin is her elder. She wants to play with him though. She's used to 7 brothers and sisters. The nightly barking (which has been strangely absent tonight) starts out.... yapp.. bark.....yap....bark.....yap....bark.....and ends up as yappbarkyappbark constantly. I'd just like a little peek into their little heads. Like why, when she tries to lie down a foot away from him, he blows her away with a BARK. Then last night she was curled up sleeping and he curled up an inch away from her. I guess he's making sure that things are on *his* terms.

Personally, he's not stupid. Those baby teeth of hers are like needles.

Oh yes. Pippin is just asserting his seniority. I've seen that same kind of behaviour before. Rosie sounds like she may be a bit dominant, though. So you'll have to watch her as she heads for adulthood though I do think that having a female was a good move given that you already had a male dog.
She's a major cutie!

Oh yes. She's no wimp at all. The pup I selected was sweet and submissive, but they switched them on me. My cockapoo was dominant agressive, so I know the signs and how to work on it. Pippin is such a sweetie I was concerned that he'd let her have her way, but he's not going to do it. I don't stop him when he pins her to the floor because he's not hurting her and he gets his point across. She talks back to him, but doesn't push him physically. Life is never dull:P I am glad that she isn't a male....having another dominant male is not my idea of a good time at this age.

Oh, last night she was asleep and he came and curled up about an inch from her. Peace may reign yet.
