It's always hard to remember that winter doesn't officially start until Dec. 21.
The weather always gets a head start on things. It has been in the 20s for about
5 days now. Snowflakes have drifted through the sky, but no accumulation until
a few days ago. First a dusting, then an inch yesterday, another inch when I took
the dog out after lunch-swept the deck and steps, took Pippin out after dinner
to see no trace that I had swept. Another good inch, and it's still coming down.
It's not snowing hard, just steadily....and fortunately it's cold enough so that
the snow is light and fluffy.....and no wind to cause drifts. I checked the forecast
and it is pretty much "ditto" for the next 10 days.
