Shirota Yu
Like everyone else, I was shocked when I saw the post about Shirota's graduation from D-Boys. It didn't really hit me that this was it for him as a D-Boy until I started reading some of the comments a few hours later. I spent the rest of the day out shopping so I wasn't thinking about it, but now that I'm back home reading through some of the stuff I'm about ready to cry. Going through and saving his blog entries isn't helping either.
I first heard of Shirota from the Sailor Moon Musicals and it was due mostly to him that I finally deceided to give the 2nd cast TeniMyu guys a try. Even though it was well after their graduation that I watched any of 2nd cast I was still really moved by Dream Live 3rd. The bonds between that cast were really evident, and it was comforting to know that most of them were still together with D-Boys. Shirota, Yanagi, and Endo have always been my favorite D-Boys. I actually started following D-Boys before I saw 2nd cast TeniMyu for the three of them. Even though Zukki and Araki are making their way up my list, those three will always be my favorites. I'm really going to miss hearing about Yanagi and Shirota's crazy interactions.
I hope Shirota starts up a new blog soon. GOOD LUCK SHIROTA!! I know this wasn't a decision you made lightly and that you know what's best for your career. You were great as a D-Boy and you'll continue to be great even on your own. I look forward to hearing about your next project!
