Dear people that take maintenance calls,
I realize you have a shitty job and have to sit there and take requests to go fix people's shit filled toilets, but can't you at least try to sound a little nice when someone calls and very politely asks to get the washers fixed? If you sounded bored, that's one thing, but being completely rude and disinterested makes me want to make your job more difficult.
So next time, please be nice. I know it can be hard, I deal with annoyed/annoying students every day too...I work in Res Life. All I'm asking for is a polite tone, let me know if that's too hard and I'll come over and help you with it.
