Someone's Found A Way To Break Into My Mind

Evil. Eeeeevillll! *flaily arms*

Finally got around to watching "La Herencia Valdemar", only when I got it, I didn't realize it was a two-part story. So yeah... when it finally started picking up and was getting really good, the screen goes dark and I get "CONTINUA" on the screen. I might not speak Spanish, but I know what that means. Then of course the credits roll and I continue to flail.
To add to the evil that is the "To Be Continued" screen, after the cast credits, the screen cuts out and they so helpfully put the trailer for the next movie, which looks like this:

*Flails some more*

I need to see it! It's only in post-production though. Then it's going to be doing the festival circuit as I understand. Specifically the Stiges Film Festival, though I don't see it listed there.

So... yeah. That's how I spent my early morning. I should probably stop watching subtitle-less Spanish horror/psychological thriller movies in the early morning/when I have insomnia, 'cause it really just makes things harder to understand when your brain's not functioning at full speed.
In contrast to that though, I find if I focus less on trying to understand what they're saying and just immerse myself in the movie, it's almost like it's in English in my head anyway... you just kind of know what's going on. I did the same thing with a few Japanese movies. At least with those I knew a few words here and there... Which is just weird, when Japanese is easier to understand than Spanish. I'm mixed up like that. Obviously I know things like "Senor" and "Si" and the basics. I find it interesting that European Spanish seems to pronounce certain "c's" as "th". Like Cinqo (sin-ko) would be "thin-ko" or Gracias would be "gra-theas". It confused me when I first heard Oscar Jaenada speaking in Spanish, I thought he had a lisp. ^^; Then he spoke in English and it wasn't there. After watching more movies though, I realized it was the pronunciation.
*the more you know!*

Finally also saw the original Boondock Saints, and I must say, I know why Chantel is so obsessed with those movies now. ^^ I need to own them. Lol, though, as usual, my Irish accent made an appearance after watching it. That always happens when I watch Irish movies or am around Irish people for any length of time. I remember when a family that had moved over from Ireland came into my store and we got to talking. After a while, I started picking up the accent. Lol, I was so worried that they would think I was mocking them.

Oh, and watched the latest episode of Justified as well (yup, me and my busy social schedule...). I can definitely see how they're setting up the season finale. Should be interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if someone died, to be honest. Ava... I want to be pissed off at her for being so stupid, but then if I were in that situation, I'd probably be maddeningly stubborn as well and stand my ground. It did piss me off that she got all bitchy with Raylan for sleeping with his ex. It's not like they really had anything serious going on. *shrug*

In my quest to find money to fund my upcoming schooling, I managed to locate one scholarship that I MIGHT qualify for. I'm going to wait until I go to the planning session and figure out my courses before I apply for it though. Still looking through grants and bursaries. I'm hoping there's something from the Legion and maybe the hospital where my mom works. $7000 is a lot more doable than the $30 000 for art school, but it's still a lot of money.

I got hit by the writing bug last night and ended up pumping out 4 pages of a fic I've been sort of plotting. Based on The Losers, of course. I'm so mean to Cougar (and really, to every character I like. Can't explain it. Maybe I'm just a sadistic jerk). D: But it'll have a happy ending. Mine always do. I fix whatever I break!

Aaaand, yeah. I was hoping to fall back asleep after watching the movie, but that abrupt ending made me go: "WHAT!?!?!?" to the point that I woke up again. D:

Also, the new formatting (with the ***) is 'cause I realize my thought process can be a little odd and hard to follow at times, so that more clearly breaks up my topics and shows when I'm jumping to something else. ^^;
