Supernatural
Well. Yeah. That went a lot better than I was expecting. Having seen some promo photos before and the preview last week, I was worried that my mind would make up it's own little storyline and I'd be disappointed by what actually happens (this happened a lot in the earlier seasons when I would read episode plots and such), I'm glad to say that's not the case. It surpassed it, in fact. I totally thought that Dean was going to say yes and we'd be stuck with Michael!Dean for the remainder of the season. While I must admit I'm curious to see how Jensen would play that, I'm happy he's still... Dean!Dean, I suppose.
That said, I actually really wanted to punch him in this episode. Especially when he said he had no faith in Sam. That's just... a really low blow. To be honest I've kinda been wanting to slap him about the face for most of this season, it's just... his...the emo. Gah. Brain's not working. I like when the old Dean peeks through this depressed, suicidal new Dean. I miss the days where the boys worked together instead of Sammy doing all the work and Dean tagging along, you know?
I loves me some Dean, but he really had me upset this season (just like Sam did last season...). The ending to this episode really gave me hope and brightened things up.
As a rather random aside: Pissed off Castiel is hot. Like whoa. As much as awkward Castiel is adorable, I much prefer badass Castiel. Yum. :B
And Baby!Winchester is back. I did quite like Adam when they brought him in last season. That was another plot twist I wasn't too sure about at first but grew on me. Its neat how they played on the fact that the real Adam (as opposed to Ghoul Adam) wasn't as happy to have brothers and all, how the Ghoul played it up to work on the boys emotionally. Nicely done with that.
I'm assuming he's Michael!Adam now... which I'm really looking forward to seeing how that's done.
Bobby~ His way of verbally bitch-slapping the boys and getting them to focus is always awesome. I was honestly very surprised that he contemplated suicide... though I suppose I shouldn't be considering everything he's gone through.
*sigh* Boys~ (once again).
As for next weeks episode, I'm glad it looks like they're lightening things up again. We need some lightheartedness for a change after all the doom and gloom of this season.
Then there was Criminal Minds yesterday. After the horrendous set up for the spin off, I'm glad to see my show back on track. It feels more like it did in earlier seasons. And I don't care what people say, I like Gube's hacked off hair, it's cute.
That spin off set up... wow. They made the characters of this series seem so stupid just in an attempt to make these new people seem SUPAH AWESOME. I just wanted to punch 'em in the face most of the time. I guess I've got a hate on for spin offs mostly 'cause it always seems to affect the writing of a show I already like in a negative way.
Then again, there IS a spin off I do like... CSI: NY. I missed last week's episode, but it was intentional to be honest. It appeared to be a Stella heavy one. While she's awesome, I seem to be only able to take her in small doses.
This weeks' seemed like a long lost cousin to Prison Break. It was a nice change of pace... though there was virtually no forensic stuff involved. *shrug*
Speaking of Prison Break... why'd they make a game of it? And why is it only being released now? This is bad marketing. I did horribly in Business in college but even I know that's bad marketing...
Speaking of higher education, I put in my application for University today!! (which is technically the same place I went for business only now they're officially seen as a university rather than a college). Here's hoping I'm accepted.
Oh... and I may or may not have ordered the
Mad Hatter Barbie last night... :B
Figured the Canadian dollar was kicking the US Dollar's ass so why not?
... I seem to use that flail-y icon a lot, I need to make some new ones.
