Only not really actually.
7 days to go until Japan!
Yesterday Phoenix and I went over to
alias_chick's place for a little Supernatural party. There was pie and munchies and I brought some peanut M&Ms and we watched a bunch of Supernatural. Much fun was had. XD Including watching Halloween sponges grow in some water. Lol. I had a good visit.
Today I've been really depressed and I'm not entirely sure why. O_o I just spent the day watching my Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles DVDs. In short I finished up that series too now. I'm interested in seeing how this new season goes considering, I'm assuming, they have a full 22 episodes or so to work with rather than the 9 of last season.
I managed to catch that new "Wolverine And The X-Men" cartoon. I wasn't really super interested in it when I first heard the premise, but I have to admit, I'm pleasantly surprised. It seems to follow the storyline of the comics to an extent. There's definite influence from the movies though...
XD And of course I want there to be Gambit. I don't see him in there yet though. I thought I saw a screen shot of him there at some point though. Might have to keep watching. :B
Cory lent me his Apocolyptica CD. It's really good. I had seen a few videos of them on YouTube, and thought it was kinda nifty. All I could find were cover songs though, so I was surprised to find a CD full of their own stuff. Seriously, people need to check this stuff out.
As a side note to that though, it's really funny to see these guys just rocking out on cellos. Lol. They look like your typical metal head, long scraggly hair and jeans and band shirts...with a cello.
My dad's got his little cadet people over tonight, so I've basically cloistered myself away in my room. He told me that they're all around my age so I can go out there and visit with them. "I'd fit in."
...
Yeah freakin' right. I try to stay away from anyone having to do with the military. I know what my dad's like, and that doesn't paint a good picture for anyone else in that profession. Besides, they're all jocks.
Anytime I go upstairs to get some food or drink, he parades me around:
Dad: "Oh! This is my second daughter--" (he can't exactly say 'youngest' anymore) "-- She's going to Japan in two weeks!"
Me: "Saturday, actually."
Dad: "Yeah, Saturday. She went to that Sony show there."
Me: "...Tokyo Game Show."
Dad: "Ya, that's the one, with all the games."
...Good thing my mom knows when I'm supposed to be back, otherwise I'd be stranded at the airport.
While cleaning up my DVD/book/CD shelves (for something to do while hiding from the creepy military people) I came across my travel journal that I kept while in Japan for Sapporo/Kyoto/Tokyo in 2006 and Tokyo in 2007. It brought back a ton of great (and not so great where Sapporo's concerned) memories and has me really excited for my next trip. It's funny to see my first reaction to Tokyo...being that at that point I didn't really experience it much at all. Just a small part of Shinjuku (the area the hotel and Squenix store are in) and the Yamanote line basically.
I also realized I'm actually going for a longer time. O_o I thought it was less. Last year I went for 16 days, this time it's for 21. Awesome.
XD I just found an "event" that's happening on Sept 28 (the day after I arrive).
Nitro+Chiral at Comic City Spark 3 It's all for Togainu no Chi and Lamento. They're boy love games that I've never played, but I love the characters so I've got a bunch of figures and other random schwag. Looks like they're giving out some posters for their next project. There's the new Limited Edition soundtrack for Togainu no Chi and apparently they're releasing a fragrance line.
...
I'm interested in it just to see what the hell something from a boy love game would smell like. Lol. There's Akira and Shiki (the two main characters basically. The player plays as Akira and Shiki's more or less the final boss), conveniently enough.
Ah ha ha. *is amused*
Haa~ I can't wait.
