Things building up
I still can't get over the fact that the Olympics are bing held in a country where people serve dogs on the menu and the people who care, (and there are plenty!), have more than likely been told to stay home by the Chinese government. I also hope no one dies over there from the horrible pollution. Love how they got pissed off at the atheletes who arrived wearing masks. I'd be wearing a hot suit if I had go to over there.
I'm giving the opening ceremonies a pass, but I'll probably watch the basketball, some soccar, swimming, diving and my favorite, synchronized swimming. I know it's corny but Mom and I always watched it and she was such a good swimmer that I think she used to imagine herself in the pool doing the routines!
On to some fun stuff. There are some very deluded people out there who can't find something that you can download. It's a riot watching them squirm. The funny thing? All the people they would hate, have it. LOL! Good luck finding it, since anyone with half a brain can but you can't. Says something about the fans of a certain show. And what it says isn't good! :)
Speaking of shows, I'm obsessed with Mad Men. I love it like I haven't a show in a long time. It brings back so many memories of being a kid watching my parents and feeling secure knowing they would take care of everything. I don't think kids feel like that today, although I hope Trevor did. I think he did.
Speaking of Trevor, we've been getting along a lot better lately. He's been helping me very much this week and it's been much appreciated.
One of my f-list friends, argh-jim, has an entry about Robert Hazard. He passed away. I can't believe it. Another one of our generation gone. Not that he was the greatest musician ever but he was good and I'll always remember him for Girl's Just Want to Have Fun. Sad news. That song represented so much of the eighties for me. I want the title on my own tombstone. Morbid? Maybe. R.I.P Robert. I'll always remember you at the party at Linda's house.
