(no subject)
So I was on the bus from hell. HELL, I SAY. Basically the 16 runs all the way downtown. Occasionally this is a problem because it's where all the gangs hang out and huff paint/gas/whatever. Yesterday it was a problem because I got stuck in a fucking parade. For a while we were literally stuck behind it, and then the bus was given a reroute, which was INSANELY out of the way. My 45 minute ride took 1 hour 53 minutes. I timed it. The bus was of course full of cranky children stuck in snowsuits.
The way I kept myself from leaping over the seats and strangling someone (it was between the teenage mom who filled a baby bottle with her Pepsi and gave it to said baby, and the three 7 year olds with thundersticks) was to put on my Queen playlist and imagine each song as an Avengers vid. Now, I have no talent with that sort of thing. I couldn't even manage cutting the minute long solos out of the songs. But sometimes line just match moments in the six movies.
-bohemian rhapsody- everyone just singing. Because if the Muppets can do it, the Avengers can too.
-another one bites the dust- I want a video of all the buildings that get ruined throughout the six movies. A montage during "and another one gone and another one gone- hey, gonna get you too!" of that fucking metal slug thing exploding through buildings from Avengers.
-killer queen- A vid about Pepper. Because she is a polite badass.
-bicycle race- Rhodey vs Tony. Or more specifically, Ironman Vs War Machine. all of the "you say _, I say _" flash between them, and then with 'on your mark, get set, go', that scene from Ironman 2 where they're flying together in the parking lot.
-you're my best friend- Tony and his machines. Dummy and You and Jarvis "I've been with you such a long time, and I want you to know that my feelings are true, I really love you." and of course "You're my only one, and I love the things, I really love the things that you do" clearly about Jarvis.
-don’t stop me now- Loki. The song is all about having the best time ever, and how nobody should stop the singer. This vid should clearly stop with Hulk using him as a fan, because that shit is fucking hilarious.
-save me- A really angsty Ironman 1 Tony&Obie vid. Because "The years of care and loyalty were nothing but a sham it seems" and "I'm naked and I'm far from home" and "I have no heart I'm cold inside"
crazy little thing called love- Bruce/Tony (will also accept Bruce/Tony/Pepper) Because Bruce is totally running from his feels, but he'll get used to them eventually. "Get on my tracks, take a back seat, hitch hike" for science bros riding off into the sunset together, and "take a long ride on my motor bike until I'm ready" Bruce on his cute moped.
-now i’m here- Clint/Natasha. For all the 'now I'm here, and there' parts, all the precarious positions they find themselves in. "I'm just a just a new man, yes you made me live again", cognitive recalibration \o/, and then "don't worry baby I'm safe and sound, down in the dungeon just Peaches and me" is Natasha vs Hulk.
-good old fashioned lover boy- Bucky/Steve? the title fits, even if I couldn't get the lyrics to.
fat bottomed girls, somebody to love, play the game, flash, seven seas of rhye, we will rock you, we are the champions, I couldn't come up with ideas for. Flash because it's already a fannish song, and WWRY and Champions because I'm too much of a Canadian, and when I hear them I can only think hockey. And as I'm typing this out I realise that I must have gotten some weird version of the Greatest Hits album, because I've had that cassette since I was three, and know for a fact that Body Language and Gotta Break Free are on it, and they're not in this playlist. So. >;( I am not happy and will rectify this.
