And then I ran into the fact that I don't actually like history at all, and only wanted to write the stuff in the 1900's. But I made it through, because the Greeks had CANON GAY, and Wikipedia is my god. I had to make it through, if only for the fact that I desperately wanted people to read the Pete and Mikey are part of Charles Manson's cult section. By far my favourite section, I was grinning the entire time I was researching it. (Frighteningly enough, his ideas aren't entirely insane. Aside from the murdering bit. It comes off as race-faily, but considering the time it occurred, the idea that there would be a race war and they needed to protect themselves in the desert? Sort of sound. Finding the keys to the apocalypse in Beatles music? Possibly less sane, but I'll be the first to admit that I look for meaning in songs, and I know someone on my flist has already linked 'the only hope for me is you' to 9/11, so *shrugs*)
I think the times would definitely alter how they are with each other. Like the Greek one, Pete being older means he's not allowed to let Mikey top, ever. He wants to, but if he does that means that Mikey is no longer the eromenos, which means that their love would be wrong and they can't be together. Or how much shittier it is to be crazy in the 1950's as compared to 2010.
Life ten is totally becoming another fic. It was possibly one of my favourite ideas when I had a list of what I needed to write, but when I decided to drop some, I liked 7/8/9 and needed to have 11. 10 was the most likely of 7/8/9/10 to be able to work as it's own fic.
