Oh my god, it's been so long

Jun 20, 2011 19:01

Who: Niels Jørgensen (Denmark)
What: Napping on the sofa with a book lying on his stomach.
Where: The boy dormitory's common room.
When: In the evening, after dinner.
Why: Niels tried to read it at least. Moby Dick, which his teacher had required students to read over the weekend, was incredibly long and boring.

This is why he didn't pick up books )

It's been ages! austentate June 21 2011, 21:07:39 UTC
[Entering from the kitchen, the Austrian holds in his hand a cup of tea, much better tea than what he would find back home. But he frowns, eying the sleeping Dane on the sofa, and silently considers whether or not to return to his room instead.]

[As much as the presence of this other person bothers him, he intended to have his tea here, and doesn't feel the total need to change his plans. At the very least it's still fairly quiet in the room.]

[He makes his way to the nearby lounge chair, but stops close enough to the sofa to read the title of the book resting on the Dane's stomach.] Moby Dick...

((ooc: I dunno what I'm doing. It's been so looooooooonnnnngggggggg. ;A;))

[Usually, Niels is pretty inattentive to his surroundings. To be fair, Roderich didn't have very loud footsteps, and he did well to keep to himself when he ambled into the common room. It wasn't until the other boy spoke up that the Dane scrunched his nose, as if his dream had turned unpleasant, before bring an arm up and over his face]

[He was roused somewhat, but didn't yet feel like opening his eyes. His arm was covering them anyway] What about dick, now...?

[Finally a glance] Oh [Roddy. That explains it.]

I has track on! :D austentate June 22 2011, 17:25:21 UTC
The Whale. [What exactly does seeing Roddy explain? Aside from who woke him up. While other people may panic when they unintentionally wake someone, Roderich remains calm as he watches Niels stir. Maybe if he were a child he'd feel a little remorse, but no, nothing for Niels.]

[By habit, he adjusts his glasses with his free hand when he speaks.] Did I wake you? [He knows the answer though, so he doesn't wait to go to the lounge chair and take a seat.]

[Oh nothing, nothing. Don't worry your fancy little face over it, Roddy c: Niels is sure he should be annoyed by this disturbance, what with that look the other guy was giving him, but starting an argument would be way too easy. He snorts instead, grinning] My Edelstein senses were tingling... And of course, you were fucking romping around like an elephant.

[An exaggeration, but the Dane was quite amused by his own comment] You gonna leave? I was here first.

LOL "Someday". austentate June 23 2011, 17:05:29 UTC
[Roderich returns a blank stare at the Dane's grinning expression just over his cup of tea, before he takes a sip. It was mostly to give him time to quell his slight contempt at that remark. Why are the people around him always so difficult?] Hardly.

[The Austrian has already gotten comfortable with his seat, and doesn't feel like giving it up so Niels can loaf around and not do his homework.] This is the common room. If my presence bothers you, feel free to remove yourself.

[Oh, so you want to play it that way now, Roderich? Niels wasn't particularly feeling in the mood to share, and a mischievous little grin played on his lips at the other boy's latter comment. It was turning into a competition of who would last here the longest] Well, if you don't mind me bothering your little tea time.

[He lightly kicked Roddy's knee with the toe of his shoe, playfully in a way] I guess you can provide a decent distraction too.

[That's real mature, Niels, really. Roderich deals with idiots on a daily basis, so he's learned to tolerate these antics. Besides that, showing his annoyance will make him spill his tea. Tea > Idiots.] Bothering? Not at all...

It's as if your large ape-like being isn't even here. [Turns his head away, as if to refuse to further acknowledge the Dane's existence.]
