Why: He is key in Gilbert and Ludwig's plan to get their (divorced) parents back together. Therefore... they put him up a tree, because their logic is a unique kind of special. (See the other log here. <--That log is open for people to bother/ruin their plans, but this one is not. ^^)
[Sits on a tree branch, arms around the tree trunk and swinging his legs in sheer boredom. Right. He had to pretend to be scared and helpless. He had been all too eager to help Big Brother and his future self, but he didn't know he'd be sitting up in a tree for this long waiting for Vati and Mutti to get here.]
