Dear Ben Cross (Letter #21)
Dear Ben,
Hope your day is going well. What's the weather like? It's raining here. There were tornado warnings around Edmonton yesterday. Apparently quite serious as the storms caused quite a lot of damage. I didn't hear of anyone getting hurt at all.
I got off of work early today as I will be going to a friend's house tonight and then heading off to Cranbrook (BC) for Uncle Bob's funeral. The good news is that tomorrow he will finally buried. He won't have a head stone for a while. At least things have worked out and he will finally be laid to rest. It's almost a relief that the situation is almost done. The reality that he's gone is starting to hit though. I keep thinking I should call him.
I managed to get all of my errands done (well minus one of them) early. Nails, brows, thank you cards and new shoes. All I have to do is exercise a little, pack some stuff and go. I really should get going. And yet I linger here.
I need to buy a GPS of some sort. I'll be going to Edmonton fairly often and I'm completely useless at directions in regards to being in that City. It's like I suddenly forget how to drive when I get to a new City. I had to leave my car at my friend's house when I was there and take a cab to the game. That was an extravagance. Understand it's a RARE day that I take a cab. I'm far too cheap. It was kind of awesome :)
I'm stopping at my mom's as there's 4 boxes of dvds that are left for me. Apparently my Uncle had a lot of dvds. Apparently there are more than that but I wo't be getting them right away. I've held off buying any dvds because I don't know what he had. My mom says there are lots...like hundreds..but she could be exaggerating. I hate to say it but I'm kind of pumped to see them...I know, I'm a terrible person. Maybe there will be a few of your films in it. Another thing about such a massive (theoretical) amount. I'm going to have to catalogue them all. "Have" to. I like to have a record. And where am I going to put all of them?
I'll be finding out if I can go to Los Angeles tomorrow as well. Kind of exciting. Hoping, hoping, hoping :)
At any rate, in a couple of days things will be getting back to normal. I'm sure you'll be happy about that.
On the good news side I will be starting singing lessons on Monday. Excited about that. I'm trying to find something I'm good at. I at least want to be good enough for a good go at Karaoke. There is a little bit of 'competition' involved. I have a friend who sings wonderfully..and so I really want to upstage her ;)
Well, must be going! Or at least attempt to be going.
