Dear Ben
Hope your day went well. Mine was alright. Not feeling well today. Looks as if I've caught the bug that has been going around at work. Oh well, these things happen. It will pass. I have Friday off and I think that I'll try to spend as much of it as I can in bed.
Last night I got an email from my mom (who hasn't really spoken to me in a year for my audacity in taking a trip to England) to let me know that my uncle has been hospitalized again. He has been in and out of the hospital for quite some time now as he has complications from diabetes. He had to have part of one leg amputed because of it and it hasn't seemed to have healed properly. I am concerned. I tried to call him twice today and there has been no answer. Evidently the hospital has no record of him which is slightly troubling. As usual I will be the last to know what is going on. Naught to be done but wait and hope someone calls or emails me.
This is just a short letter as I should have been in bed a couple of hours ago. I went to softball practice (through work) which I shouldn't have. But I had sais I would go and felt obliged. It was fun but I had to leave early.
