I'm sorry, what planet did you say you were from.
So, THE biology secretary got chewed out today. We have bags of trash that need to be autoclaved (given a high temp) before they can be thrown out to kill anything that may be living in them. She has been complaining that they are too full. So I reduced down the bag size, I've also started double bagging them and I can get them into the autoclave just fine when I do this. Evidently she is still having issues with getting them in there. So there is a bag of trash next to the autoclave this morning, waiting to be run. She decides it's too full and hauls it back to my lab, which needs to remain relatively sterile and garbage free. I bring it back to the autoclave room, because she just deposited it when I was talking to someone else and I wasn't able to say WTF. I take it back in and an additional new bag of garbage to be autoclaved. She brings both bags back to the lab, while my PI is right there. My PI digs into her saying that they need to not be drug all over the biology department and that they need to be out of this room, because it needs to be sterile. The secretaries response is she says they are too full. Again, I've heard this but hadn't heard anything about it since I reduced them down and I'm able to get them in the autoclave at that size. My PI continues to dig into her and then when she leaves my PI just rolls her eyes at me. (My PI can't stand her and to be honest, I'm right there with her.) Anyways, I go in to reduce the amount in the bags, cause it's just tooooooo much for her, and she doesn't want to do it. I'm fine with that, I'll do it whatever. So I go to do it and she's like no do it like this and reduces the bag for me. I don't get that, but whatever. Maybe the martyr complex. Anyways, she turns to me and says, "I'm sorry, I just couldn't do it anymore. I hope you didn't get you ass chewed too much." I just looked at her, shocked, trying not to let my jaw touch the floor and replied, "Nope, not at all." In my mind: No, no sweety. That was you who just got their ass chewed.
