Yay, I got presents!! The Japanese custom of bringing everyone (and I do mean EVERYONE) back something you can only get in the place you visited is the coolest thing ever. As sensei, I rank high enough that the majority of my students feel obliged to bring me something. Mitsu and Kiyomi bring me all kinds of things...a fan/postcard with rotating holographic fish for summer whatchamacallit celebration, tours in Akihabara, maps, and so on. From Kiyomi's vacation I got these little shrimp crackers that are apparently famous in wherever Kochi Castle is (plus an English brochure about Kochi Castle and her ticket from the tour). Then today, Tamaya brought me a famous Cambodian beer and a fridge magnet of one of the shrines, while my manager came back and gave me a caramel made of the apparently famous milk in Hokkaido. For the first time in my life, you could say I'm actually a little spoiled.

Oh, and Hironori called a grand conclave ashita at the izakaya Hana no Mai, sooo...I muddled my way through a conversation inviting Marlene. Ella me llamará. Vamos a ver como eso pasa manaña, no? Kowai. Qué haces, qué haces, William?
