I feel that relationships are the one thing that you can put so much time and effort into and sometimes get nothing in return. Everything else, you get what you put into it. For example, if you build a house in a hurry, somewhere down the line, you're going to need to fix it. Yet, if you try your best, take your time, and do things right, the fruits of your labor will be worthwhile, being that you have a more solid product. But with relationships, from the start, you do not have that security. It is dependant on so many more factors that no matter how much you try, sometimes you just get screwd in the end.
I hate the fact that the entire human race is based on one thing: procreation. Our drive is to survive, and to acquire a mate, eventually procreate with said mate, and then raise your kin. It is so primalistic in every way that I reallly hoped that somethine more would come along later in life. But no, no matter how old you are all you want to do is to teach your offspring how to do something better, for them to learn from the mistakes that you have made. The only reason they teach you this is so that your offspring are also successful in procreating and therefore passing on your gene. Money may be power, but you are nothing without one of those two vital organs that drive us all to keep on living.
Disagree as much as you'd like, this is how I feel.
