Well, I am officially an idiot - confirmed by external parties and everything.
I have been working on a job application for an eviro position at the DEC for the last fornight (not religiously, mind you lol) for which the closing date was today. And in true "Teneal-procrastinating" style I have missed the cut-off time by two hours. Brilliant! Gold stars for my organisation skills there.
I am really annoyed with myself because I could quite easily have checked the closure details last night but, instead, I trusted my inferior memory to provide me with the correct information. Well, I have now learned my lesson - get a BLOODY diary!!!! I had 3 diaries last year so why on earth I thought I could go even a few weeks without one I cannot fathom.
It also occurred to me last night that maybe the beginning of the yoga term for the ashram that I teach at was this week and not next week. So, luckily accepting my inability to remember dates adequately, I checked the website. And, yes, it does begin this week. Which is good to know seeing as I am teaching a class tomorrow.... and Thursday. Slightly helpful information, come to think of it.
And now, having no available baby-sitters at such short notice, I will be teaching pregnancy yoga with a 3 year old in tow. I think they'll be considering alternative options to keeping their newborn children by the end of it.
