Weekly update
Here's my weekly update. I have my second cold in two weeks. This one decided to linger on for about 48-72 hours, but currently it seems to be on the mend. The weather was fricking out of the control today. Nearly 80 degrees. It's supposedly called the Pineapple Express. Out of control. Seriously. This is just wrong. I should not have my AC on this late in October. Wrong. So wrong.
I got the Indiana Jones DVD's. Damn, Harrison was a good looking man. Now, he's just a doof.
I've taken to Tivoing and watching Highlander the Series. Discovered Joe Pantaliano was the doctor in one of the episodes. That was a pleasant surprise. The first season of this series is basically laughable in terms of the acting or lack thereof. Tessa's (I can't remember the actresses name and right now I don't care to though I think it's Alexandra Vandermoot or something like that) delivery leaves much to be desired. Her voice as well. This reporter they have as a recurring character is one I'm very glad that they let go. So, now I'm hooked. Maybe it's just the swords. I have a thing for swords, particularly katanas. Men with swords. Hee :-)
I'm also going back through La Femme Nikita. Michael was far less controlled in the beginning of the series. He definitely gained control as the series continued. The whole season four was OK, but the last 8 episodes? Whatever.
L&O:SVU is like crack. I watch and I can't stop. I don't know why. Didn't finish watching one of the episodes I had Tivoed because I'd seen it before and I didn't want to watch the end again. However, I was surprised to discover Jason Ritter was in it. I hadn't realized that before. Interesting. I'm currently watching him in Joan of Arcadia. The show has its moments, but still feels uneven at times. So it goes. Anyway, USA is totally feeding my addiction for L&O:SVU. I'm starting to watch the current series rather than wait for it to show up on USA. There's a new ADA in town. We'll see how she fits in with the rest of the crew.
Not even going to get into the fact that the frelling stupid pain in my ass networks are pre-empting my shows for reruns because of stupid ass baseball. There's a whole CSI episode that I'm missing and I'm pissed. So very pissed. However, I'm going to let it go because I can't change ego-centric networks. Idiots. Total idiots.
Best new show? Karen Sisco. I thought I was going to hate or not like this show at all, but I'm loving it. I wanna be her when I grow up. Damn... a woman who knows how to handle herself, whose dad realizes she can handle herself, and can make the line "I'm just a girl" work like no one else. Damn, I love this show. I really do. I like it even better than CSI. Don't tell my friends, though. They may not believe me. There isn't even a guy to really go lusting after.
Great... the cough's back. It was gone for so long as well. What the hell is up with that?
The other great question of the day is do I rewrite the story I started way back in 9th grade or not. I don't know. There's much to commend it and there's much to condemn it. I don't know... definitely going to have to have a think about this one.
Naturally, as I'm watching Highlander, I think about fanfic. Perhaps I'll play around with that instead. Mmmmm... katana... sharp... shiny... hee :-)
