I've found in the past two weeks that computers work best when the programs don't randomly lock up.

Life is same old, same old. I applied for a new job, but didn't hear back. I know I have to try harder than that, though, nowadays. The current job is okay, but I keep fluctuating from being alright with it, to wanting to run out of the building in frustration.

And bills. Bills, y'all.

Like my credit card bill! For my new computer! I actually took money out of savings for that, and I don't feel bad about it because my laptop was getting on my last nerve. My new desktop works nicely (with Windows XP w00t), and I can play games on it! Games!! Like Portal, which is very much fun. JP bought it for me. <3 Well, the whole Orange Box deal, actually. I plan to buy other games from Steam once I, er, build up my accounts again. (Games like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Silent Hill: Homecoming, Psychonauts, Half-Life, Bioshock...)

JP actually built the computer for me. We sat down and figured out what I wanted/needed and once all the parts came in, we... uh... he put it together. I plugged in a couple things, though! And I paid as much attention as I could when he was telling me what was what! The screen is 23 inches wide, which is like frickin' amazing to me. lol We also gave it like 600 GB of space, and a good video card, and a wireless card, and a drive that can burn DVDs, and and and.... It's all very shiny and new to me. And, unlike with my laptop, my old printer is compatible! (I just need to order ink for it.)

I should possibly straighten up my room. I'm having my mom, sister, grandmother, and aunts over for dinner on Friday, to show half of them the apartment for the first time. I need to give them the impression that I'm a perfectly responsible adult now.
