This was wonderful. I loved how you had John trying to solve the problem by breaking up with Rodney, trying to get Rodney to break up with him, and having nothing work. They were just too right together.

This was funny and touching at the same time. Well done.

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I guess John just doesn't get how stubborn Rodney is (or how good he is at interpreting things to go his way), though I think if I were Rodney, I might have broken up with him after 'does this make me look fat?' ;-) Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.

great story! I love Rodney in this, it's so very him. John is John, but Ary'l was interesting--the absolute epitome of a cliched character, but she really transcended that (or never fell into it).

thoroughly enjoyed reading!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the characters. I think with Ary'l I was able to avoid a bit of the cliche by the fact that the readers already know a lot of her motivations, the only one I really had to justify was her choice to die at the end, but that was also kind of scripted for me by the original version of the Little Mermaid.

I love you so much right now. SO MUCH. This totally made my day. I'm going to be grinning wildly when I go grocery shopping and people will be afraid of me. Awesome!

He sunk to his knees in front of John, wrapping his arms around John’s waist and pressing a runny nose into the hem of his favorite t-shirt. “I’m so sorry, John. Whatever I did, I didn’t mean it. I love you. I’m so sorry. Please, don’t leave me. Please.”

Ary’l, and pretty much everyone in the rec room (Marines included) shot John a dirty look. There was no way he couldn’t lift Rodney up, plant a kiss on his forehead and lead him back to their quarters to sleep it off.

This is the best response to one of them stupidly breaks up with the other EVER. I will never believe a different one again!

“I care about you, Teyla. I don’t know what I would . . .”

John didn’t see the stick coming. The next thing he knew, he was curled up in a ball on the floor, stars in his eyes.

*worships you*

Ary’l had once told him that when her people died, they dissolved into a mist of ( ... )

Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it! The little mermaid is my favorite fairy tale, so it was great to be able to do the SGA version of it.

Wow. This fic combined my very first fandom and my last and favourite. I'm smiling so hard I can barely believe it.
It was so strange, because it began as a crakiest hilarious sort of McShep-y fic one loves, and then you gave it such a sad yet hopeful twist. It is truly gorgeous.
I loved it.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I guess I see John as kind of an adorable messed up moon when it comes to relationships on the show, so I wrote him that way.
