UTMB Psych & Labor and Delivery

So...working at UTMB was kind of scary. On Sunday, I got to talk to the crazies. One wanted to tell me about his penis problems over breakfast. So that was fun.

But not really. Well, the recovering alcoholics thought it was funny. But that was only in between their bouts of twitching.

Today, I witnessed a c-section from 5ft away. Every cut, every stitch. I saw a human life pulled from a womb and the gush of fluid that followed. I thought it would disturb me a little more than it actually did. I kind of enjoyed it. Seeing a uterus the size of a soccer ball laying on a belly, being sewn up, really made me thankful that I didn't have to have that done. Fucking yikes.
