eeeee! i am so thrilled with this- it turned out looking amazing! i want to jump up and down with you and laugh about how wonderful it is to have art on one's BODY- especially when it is that cool looking. thats a nice placement for it too, how did it feel? was there enough muscle under there to make it not hurt too much?
no tattoos for me yet, just stretching my earlobes right now. i always feel a stronger urge for tattoos after i've gone shopping for food at the co-op because there are so many unique tattoos that people have there, things that you can't even really tell what they are but they look gorgeous none-the-less.
so last month i crossed the border into iowa for the first time. it was kind of silly, i mean we only went to the closest town across the state line, Lemon Springs i think it was called. but we were there!
the pups are adorable- what kind of dogs are they?
The outline barely hurt at all, maybe even felt a little good, but once she started doing the shading it was pretty bad! Luckily the shading takes only half as long. I'd do it again. I hear that it is one of the least painful parts of the body to work on.
Looks like Lime springs is in NE iowa, which is quite a bit different from the rest of iowa. I love NE iowa, though, esp along the river. I'm in SE iowa, about 3 hours from where you were. :)
The pups are pit bulls. I've really fallen in love with the breed... they are so misrepresented and the poor things have such a hard time finding homes. Most shelters won't even take them, and quite a few towns have outlawed them. They're almost always just big sweethearts, though, unless they are raised by jerks, but thats just like any other dog. But yeah, my babies!
i knew i wasn't near where you live or else i may have told you i'd stop by and say 'ello, but how is ne iowa different from the rest? do you mean in terms of geography? sadly, where we were was all corn and soybean fields, although thats not just iowa- a lot of southern minnesota was that and only that as well! it was my first trip to far southern minnesota (i'm northern mn born and raised so thats what i'm used to) but i really enjoyed myself down there. i was actually quite surprised by some of the diversity... my boyfriend and i get kind of a hard time most places we go (since he's asian and i'm white) but everyone was very nice and very non-staring/glaring, which was a pleasant change of pace
( ... )
A lot of NE iowa is more wooded and very hilly, but that is way east along the river. I love corn and soybean fields! I mean, I'd rather they be fields of untouched prairie than manufactured fields. It would be ever so more beautiful that way, but nonetheless I like the great expanses of fields. A lot of people think driving through Iowa is boring and ugly but I just love it! And there is always little wetlands and lakes and funky towns and all sorts of stuff here and there throughout the fields.
My boyfriend has had Kelo since he was 7 weeks! Really, though, pretty much all pitbulls are well tempered towards people, no matter when you get them, at least as much as any other dog, its just dog-dog aggression that so many have problems with.
