A lot of people find this time of year unmotivating. Whether you're in school or not the mindset still lingers. Its also just a transitioning time of year and people tend to slow down quite a bit. Hell, even not so, sometimes its just hard to get through a day. I personally have days when I wake up and literally can't get myself to do a damn thing all day.
Anyway, I wrote this for lovie when he asked me what sort of ways I motivate myself through a day or even just get the energy to do things:
Please add your own ways of motivation as well c:
1. Leaving the house. Even if its to do errands. You come back with that same sense of "I'm doing stuff" as you do while you're out.
2. Doing something that accomplishes something, like cooking an "easy" meal, something that isn't necessarily 'work'.
3. Giving someone a call or sharing company. Sometimes a conversation can pick you up. Same with a good read c:
4. Sunlight. That sounds stupid but I have a lot more of a motivated day when I'm not in the livingroom all day where the house is darkest. Everyone NEEDS sunlight in order to process certain vitamins in their body in fact. Necessary.
5. Being away from the computer and/or un-engrossed in a single thing. Sometimes being on the computer all day puts me in an off mood. So
does reading or gaming all day or so.
6. Force yourself to at least "start" something you dont want to do, like the dishes, like a project. It makes the next time you HAVE to do it less daunting than the first. Its harder to do than it sounds but it makes a difference.
7. EATING. You may not want/think to eat when you're in a bad mood, but that perpetuates the BLAH feeling. You need food to keep your mood even and your energy up. Opposingly, you may be the type that eats 'more' when you're in a bad mood, in which case at least make sure what you're eating is good for you and that you don't eat in ridiculous quantities. That'll just make you sluggish.
8. Watching someone else get motivated. (on tv, in a show, art/photos in the same theme of what you're doing, watching a youtube vid of someone else doing stuff)
9. VITAMINS. IF you take the right ones. Especially if you're diet is odd, sometimes a low count in (insert nutrient here) is why you aren't functioning to your best or even as energetic. Everyone should be taking something to suppliment their diet. Its only hard to ask a doctor their opinion since that can go 50-50 with what they want to sell you versus what they know will help you. Many doctors are salesmen. Take what a doctor says with a grain of salt and try a few different vitamins out.
10: Sleeping early. Waking up early. That is in fact super basic. I'm the type who 'usually' stays up late at night but even I can admit that you feel better the next day and more motivated when you dont.
