So Long Japan And Thanks For All The Fish Flavered Snacks

After a year and a half, on March 8th I will finally be heading back to The States. I wish I could say I am filled with something other than relief. I'm not going to get into the details of why my time here in Japan hasen't been pleasent so instead I will will tell you the small things that I will miss when I leave.

1) Salmon filled Onigiri (rice shaped into a triangle and filled with salmon).
2) Chu-Hi (all flavors except lemon)
3) Not owning (and needing) a car.
4) Internet Cafes (It's like my own private 24 hour office filled with TV, movies, Internet, free drinks and videogames).
5) Late night entertainment (bowling, bars, clubs and break dancers under the train tracks and at the OCAT).
6) squatty pottys (Thet took awhile to get used to but now I can squat with the best of the drunken salary men).
7) Any resurant with all you can rice and pickles.
8) The Dagashi Bar (All you can eat old-timey candy).
9) Perfectly good TV's furniture and DVD players found in the trash.
10) Those drunk guys who sleep outside the train station with their pants around their ankles and wang hanging out (alright maybe that a stretch, though they are entertaining in a "I'm glad I'm not him" kind of way).
11) Medal games (hard to explain except it's a more entertaining way to throw away money than Pachiko).
12) Those little toys I can't seem to stop buying because I gotta collect them all (Damn you Pokemon based marketing system).
13) The QQ hundred yen store (They have the most catchy theme music of all time playing constantly).
14) Hanami season (One of my few regrets is that I'm going to miss the blooming of the Cherry Blossoms).
15) The Dontonburi area at night(Its like being in that movie Blade Runner with all the neon and seediness, though sadly no flying cars or androids working as exotic dancers).

That's all I can think of. I'm hoping my move will go relatively smoothly.

On a related note those of you who have been to Japan or are still here respond with what you miss or would miss about Japan. I'm curious, plus I'm absolutely pathetic about getting comments from other people.
