There is a picture of the package here

Impressions: well, it's a pretty good best of compilation as they go I agree with most of the tracklist but not having Sanlin Buggy seems a bit weird to me, I would probably put that on in place of Hippy Junky Surfer. Its a pretty full disk clockin in at around 75 minutes.

Those of you familiar with Sherbets will already know what most of these songs are like, however there are a few interesting things. The rerecorded versions of High School and Joan Jett's Dogs (yes now with added 's') are both very nice and in my eyes at least, improvements upon the originals. Black Butterfly less so, but i've never been a fan of that song.

The new song Brixton Madness Party Generation is I suspect, an offcut from the making of Natural, it's not a bad song, but nothing revolutionary.

As for the DVD - well, those three videos run to just over 20 minutes. The PV is different to the normal version that has been circulating around the various p2p networks. It is basically just the band playing in the middle of a field which the regular PV had, the Straight Version name is pretty apt, they cut all the pretty mountain scenery bits and Kenichi lying in the snow and making snowballs etc. Kinda nice as a curiosity but I prefer the regular version.

The other two live clips are things i have seen before, but the quality is obviously a lot better than the mpeg versions i had knocking around before. It's just nice to see some DVD quality footage for once, one of these days I *will* get around to stumping up the cash for the BJC Solo Works 2 DVD which has some footage on. That and keep praying they decide to release Driving Sally and Cold Mink Movie on DVD one day.

The packaging as the above link suggests is really nice, the booklet is mostly taken up with a little story written and illustrated by Kenichi, very similar in visual style to Ted Tex, I kinda wish I could understand the text but nevermind eh, it's nice to look at. Maybe when he gets bored of being a rock star he will take up illustrating childrens books full time.

Then again I could see him still sitting on a chair playing an accoustic guitar when he is 60 so who knows XD.

Okay, i've rambled enough, if you are new to Sherbets and want to hear more, this is a really good place to start, if you already have the other albums, it's probably not worth getting unless you are an obcessive fan like me :D

sherbets, kenichi asai
