Three stories I've read and enjoyed recently.

Refugees in Rivertown. This is written for the still ongoing genficathon, so the author's identity has yet to be revealed. It features one of my favourite things; an outsider's perspective on a team member. In this case, the story centers around a young slum-dweller, who one day finds a strange unconscious woman among the corpses she steals from. Dun, dun, DUN. (Gen, PG-13)

Rosemary, for Remembrance by mhalachaiswords. Two of the tropes I'm unable to resist are genderfuck and fish-out-of-water narratives. This story has both. Rodney wakes up in a world where John is Joan, but everything else is oddly similar to his own reality. Something is wrong, he just doesn't know what. I don't really know how to describe it - maybe genish het/slashy gen? (McKay/Sheppard, PG-13)

The Undone Years by vain_glorious. You know all those stories where someone wakes up in a reality where he's together with someone he's previously considered "just" a friend and comes to realize that it's his *right* reality? Yeah, this isn't like that. (PG-13, John/Teyla - I'd still call it gen though)

gen, fanfic recs, john/rodney
