Why is it that it's OK for 3rd World Countries to be backed into corners because the Big Boys are out to make a buck? Why does the rest of humanity have to run the risks these entrepreneurs wouldn't expose their kith and kin to?
And if I didn't have labels to guide me in my very limited selection of grocery shopping, I for one would be a very ill man. Example: Who uses wheat in hamburgers and sausages -- Britain for one. Who knew toffees contain wheat? Certainly not me!
So great to hear Mexico's attitude! Am cynical enough to wonder where Monsanto will take this and what further pressure they will apply on Mexico as this unfolds. Curious also to see what position Congress will adopt with this matter.
Interesting to see what the effects will be here vs the available market.
And lastly -- here's hoping that the Senate listens to the "voice of the people".
