I know it's probalby boring hearing detailed stories about kids, unless you know them. But bear with me, I want to start writing (typing) more down to remember later, and for them to read years from now. :)
Anyway, a little more on Logan. He's way into Toy Story now, and we took him to the library to rent the movies as well as Cars, there was a girl doing stories and dancing with the kids, but he just stood back and watched while 'papa' did his weird dance moves. lol Afterwards we took him to Cheddar's, the first thing he noticed and ran up to when the door opened was the fish tank. He waited patiently and colored until the food came, and tossed a lemon into my margarita, which was amusing. lol
A few weeks ago I went to Abeline and brought him back a train that you push backwards and it moves forwards. We we took it over to him one morning he obviously loved it. We played with it for a few minutes on the kitchen floor and after awhile dad says we need to get going and he was like 'NO!' When we actually started to leave he held onto my leg and wanted me to come sit back down and play with him. It's so sweet when he doesn't want me to go, but it'ks so sad at the same time when you look at him pout. But I'm sure he knows some day soon he'll be down the hill to my apartment complex and start laughing as he always does.
Earlier I mentioned taking a trip to Abeline. As some of you know, my mom and I are Caren's Charter's junkies. We haven't done too many day or one night trips in awhile. But this year she has a few that sounds interesting. One was an overnight to trip to Abeline. After many tries, I was able to talk mom into going and she went from not wanting to go to taking Martha's two boys, my nephews Nicholas and Matthew. A few years ago we took them on some day trips; Jamesport, Atchison and Kearney, Mo. (where Jessie James lived), and they loved it. I was amazed at how much they took in and remembered. They were about 9 and 11 at the time. I didn't know how much they'd enjoy it now since they're 12 and 14. But I was happy to hear they wanted to go it was all set for the bus to pick them up at The Legends early Tues. morning.
More of the Abeline adventure later...
