So. Last night, was an interesting dream.
I was at the mall, not at work. It was really crowded. I was barefoot. My right foot was stiff. I was walking around, stretching. I saw a friend of mine, Giovanni, and we pretended not to notice each other. Probably because I looked really weird. Anyway. I made my way up to these stairs where there were these two shady producers meeting with this guy. The guy had stolen... something from Giovanni and was trying to sell it to the producers. They asked him if he had come up with it on his own, and he admitted he had stolen it. They said they would have to meet with Giovanni.
Meanwhile, I was near this group of Chinese kids, mostly girls. They were all very excited about the producers, and they were preparing one of their group for something. The producers walked toward us, and one girl, who was wearing a lot of makeup and fancy clothes, stood up and walked forward. She may have said something to the effect of "Mr. Producers, meet Dong-Li," and gestured to a little boy. The little boy sang a song; it was cute and well done, but not apparently anything to get excited over. The producers said that children's entertainment wasn't really their field, and kind of just left without saying much more.
I told the Chinese kids that they might recommend a different set of producers who were interested in children's projects. The kids were friendly and gracious. Then we noticed that Dong-Li was gone. So, I started to help looking for him. I remember looking into this hollow space in a tree, and finding some of his stuff, but not him. And I started to get a really panicky feeling. So I went back upstairs, where I ran into Shannon, my co-worker. I asked her if she'd seen Dong-Li, after describing him as a little Chinese boy wearing a purple shirt and grey pants. She said she'd seen him, but it had been a while ago. So, I went to talk to the Chinese girls.
On my way there, I almost bumped into a waitress from Starbucks, and I told her that her job was hard. She laughed and said, "Not really." Then we almost ran into a woman wearing a wedding dress. The waitress said she'd never wear a wedding dress in a coffee shop, and I agreed. The woman in the wedding dress reached around a corner to get some coffee, and almost got it on her dress.
I somehow realized that some doctor might know where he is. And I went to see the doctor before returning to the group of girls. He asked me some complicated questions that I can't quite remember, but he ultimately revealed the kind of pollen surrounding Dong-Li was unique to a radish field.
With this new information, I ran to the group of girls, and told them we had to look in the radish fields. By this point, the group had whittled down to two of the Chinese girls, the tall, slender Tai-Li and her chunky Jewish-looking friend, and me. I'm not sure where everyone else went. But I was trying to get one of the girls' numbers so that we could split up. For some reason it was really difficult to exchange numbers, so Tai-Li's friend took both our cell phones and texted messages to each phone from the other.
When I checked the message from Tai-Li's phone, it said something along the lines of, "Nose goes! I may have to ..." something something. But I lost the nose goes. We then arrived at the fields to find Dong-Li. But I woke up and don't know if we ever found him.
STRANGE DREAM.
