lls_mutant wrote I'm Not a Princess (The Fairytale Remix), of my 10-10 meme, Gaeta Through Hera's Eyes. The underlying friendship between the Agathons and Felix Gaeta comes from that story. My love for
lls_mutant's story, along with a prompt from
geekbynight acted as the original inspiration and impetus to write To Kindle a Light in Darkness for which I’m very grateful.
Summary: When they arrived on Earth, all Felix Gaeta wanted was to be left alone; fortunately, he wasn’t.
Author’s Note: Battlestar Galactica’s ending asked hard questions about humanity, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Unfortunately, it ended with those questions only superficially explored. Felix Gaeta’s journey from bitterness to forgiveness and isolation to reconciliation is my exploration of those questions. Due to the nature of the questions and themes the story is introspective and meditative in nature. I hope you’ll join Felix on his journey.
Word Count: ~32,000
