You know, the Eight really IS an interesting character, when she's not being all Bond-villainy. This is interesting- I look forward to seeing what you're going to do with it!

Thank you! Yeah, when you start really thinking about the wherefore's and the why's of Eight's actions, you get the feeling that a lot more was going on in her head than what we got to see.

Totally agree. One of my complaints about her in the series was she was a little too one-dimensional, but it does get interesting if you can put yourself in her shoes. Although there's no way I could walk in those heels. (Just out of curiosity/making sure I'm working LJ correctly, you did get the deleted comment in your email, right?)

New Caprica!Felix is my favorite. This is a very interesting set-up and I'm eager to read the rest.

And thank you for using one of my icons! :D

Thanks for reading, and your icons were too lovely to pass up. I'm saving up your New Caprica!Felix icon for the next installment.

This is interesting. I'd like to see a more nuanced take on "Sweet Eight" than we saw on the webisodes, even if she did effectively make Gaeta's later point in the mutiny that it's insane to trust a Cylon, no matter how nice they seem on the outside. :)

I really liked the bits where she's trying to hide her sense of individual will from the other Cylons. And Cavil's reaction to "Wouldn't a Five be better bait?" was pretty amusing. In fact, all of One's and Eight's interactions were intriguing. Frankly, I'd think Felix would be pretty hard pressed to pass up a Simon. :) Of all of them, they seem the closest in dress and mannerisms to Baltar, who I always use as the model for Felix's ideal type, up through New Caprica anyway. I suppose Hoshi represents a change, perhaps a step up in the maturity of his choices for romantic interests.

Cool fic. Look forward to seeing more!

Thank you. Heck, if it weren't for the creepy baby farm stuff, *I'd* be hard-pressed to pass up a Simon ;).

Cavil's thing about the Cylons seeming like crazy cat ladies made me giggle.

I join in the chorus of those people who are intrigued and looking forward to more.

And um, the "decimation" thing? That's horrifying. And so perfect.

I love that BSG has a character like Cavil who can say off-the-wall things like that and still manage to be menacing.

As for "decimation"--leave it to the Romans to come up with such a terrible and effective method of keeping warriors in line.

I'd be interested in reading more too. :)

“I’m not so sure I’m the right sort of bait to set out for Felix Gaeta. Don’t you think a Five would be more his type?”

LOL. She makes a good point. Also, she made me laugh because Gaeta must be awfully obvious about his sexuality if all the Cylons take it as a given. :D

Thanks for reading! As funny as that story would be, I'm thinking maybe he's not *that* obvious--I figure Boomer knew him well enough when she was on Galactica, and members of the same model do share memories sometimes... :)
