I did put a warning on it- Lissa-style crack :) I'm going to get predictable at this rate (I do it in my long stuff, too). And time I go for the laughs, something bad seems to be on its heels. ::Sigh::

Dude! I was totally thrown out of the story the first time I read it and not because of the ludicrous eyeliner either. I usually smell stuff like that form miles away (loves me some story twists) but here I was like "What the--? Oh no, she didn't!" And then I read it again and it was sad. Cool.

Saul is one fracked up Cylon Papa. I guess fleet folks are pretty used to people muttering to themselves all the time by now. Of all the characters to be haunted by Head!Gaeta. I bet Saul is like "Why me? Baltar looks like he lost his best friend (yeah right), Hoshi shuffles around like a kicked puppy, Bill has a teary breakdown every three hours since Gaeta died and I'm the one who has to deal with the traitor in eyliner? The Frak!!11!1"

OMG- this is SO what Saul Tigh would say. Hehehehehe. I was thinking he hasn't been too thrilled by this whole situation (although it probably beats being haunted by Zarek), but that just sums it up perfectly. :)

You know, for all that I keep writing Hoshi as a bit of a kicked puppy, I can't help but wonder if he's really ticked off at Felix as well. Although death has a tendency to make people forgive. The poor boy probably has no idea.

I was actually thinking of Felix kicking Hoshi when I used the "kicked puppy" image (Bill and Saul are just in plain ingore-mode when it comes to the non-favourites as we know), because he totally did. Bad Felix, no cookie Hoshi. So yeah, a griefing and ticked off Hoshi sounds about right. I would be too.

Thanks- I just made it :) I've long been convinced that he does that, and that Gaeta's ALWAYS been a total geek. I think I even had him playing Scramble once on the lab computer. Life as a grad student has taught me well....

You know, I was suspicious right from the beginning when I saw that the spoiler warning went through "Islanded in a Stream of Stars" but I haven't been seeing these comment fics you're talking about and so by the time I got into the middle of the story, I was lost in it and had accepted Head!Gaeta as being really there. It seemed so real. I had to go back a second time and see how it all worked. Helo and Hoshi must think Saul's four or five Vipers short of a squadron! :) No wonder Helo was snickering.

The last beat is of course sad to read. I love the moment where Felix touches Louis' cheek. The pathos of Hoshi not even noticing really got to me for a second.

Thanks!!! Yeah, I wasn't sure about the warning ;) The other fic that we were talking about was here, and then this one was a comment for ingrid_m to cheer her up after doing the Paradox icons. (Because I'm right there understanding :) )

I'm glad it worked for you, even if I was mean to poor Hoshi. (Hey, whipping boy 1 is dead, that means I need a new one!)
