Okay, it's been a week. I've been in mourning over this character, but now I'm feeling reflective. Looking back over

webeh I wrote up a list of my personal Top 20 Felix Gaeta moments (with bonus scenes because there was so much that I found memorable!). This isn't so much a list of "best moments" since it contains many

Looking at it from felix's POV, given Baltar's reaction when he showed up with the death list, I can see where he came to the conclusion that Baltar didn't fight, and did give in. He has no idea that this was Baltar's one moment of heroism. Everything Felix witnessed from Gaius pretty much pointed to the behavior he said he witnessed in the trial being the truth. He has no idea of how far off he was.
Not that that excuses it, but I think it makes it a little less dark than what he did to Adama. With Adama, even ZAREK knew what a mockery they were making of the system. You could see it when he said he'd be the judge. I think that scene, as well as the execution, is why I haven't been able to rewatch BotS yet. My boys behave SOOOOOO badly. It's the darkest moment for both of them, actually. Well, maybe Zarek murdering THE ENTIRE QUORUM was a little darker ;) But it was so dishonest.
I really don't understand (from a in-the-show perspective- I totally get it out of the show) why no one reached out to Felix after Dee suicided. How hard would it have been for someone to say, "hey, I'm really sorry about your friend"? (I'm actually writing a scene where Felix takes it out a bit on Helo.) It's just really unbelievable (not in a literary sort of way though) how everyone just seems to ignore what Felix is going through.
That's pretty much YFL, Zarek-Gaeta as the same man... although I'll tell you, it's tempting to make them both Daniel models and play with it that way! :) (Except that Richard Hatch and Alessandro Juliani look NOTHING alike!)
