Okay, making it something about the Sagitarrions (which we haven't *heard* about since like "Bastille Day") would be lame, because they haven't been a major thread or plot line. It's like, hey, let's have this guy have some CONFLICTI! Yee!

And Baltar doesn't really call him a traitor, does he? He says he betrayed *Baltar* because of the security camera, but then he says "there are things worse than traitors", doesn't he?

-And BLARG because you make me want to write Gaeta/Random!Cylon slash from Occupation New Caprica.

He says something like "Who is the REAL traitor in this room?", which implies Gaeta had done Something Very Bad which Baltar was privvy to, but I'm thinking that's a reference to the cut storyline they somehow couldn't get rid of.

Which is fricken' sad. Minus another 100 points, Moore.

Unless they decided to keep the vestiges and launch them into a new, shiny storyline. Which would be good?

As long as they don't try to retcon Gaeta into some sort of ordinary pathetic bad guy, yes, that's fine.

Because ... no. If he's Evil, then make him a Cylon. If he's good, then torture him with his goodness in a world of evil as it's been going all along.

Making him a nasty little Saggwhatever hater, STOOOPID.

They're kinda taking *everyone* to a dark dark place this season, so why not Gaeta too? *sigh*

I have some Doral/Gaeta drawerfic slash, somewhere on my hard drive. In the end, it was too squicky for even me to continue.

Hah. Doral. One of the three men on the show I haven't tried to slash Gaeta with yet.

Out of curiousity, what was so squick about it?

Well, Doral, mostly. He's made of yuck. :( It was a darkfic, but Doral in a sexual way made me want to heave, even in my own fic. LOL.

Hehe! I did a Doral/Jammer, one of my early fics, and it was just awesome, one of my best so far. But, then again, it was definitely non-explicit.

Actually if you listen to the podcast Gaeta's reaction was because Baltar was culpable in the Sagittaron thingie, but threatened to blame Gaeta. That pushed Gaeta "over the edge because he knew he had nothing to do with that" (Ron's quote there). Its at like 40:13 of the podcast.

I'm guessing it was dropped because they couldn't figure out how to get Baltar out of it. This was supposed tp be some guilt on Baltar's hands, something more concrete than the death lists, but probably pushed the crdibility of gett ing Baltar off the hook eventually.

AHHH, thanks for the clarification. (I can't sit through those podcasts.)

I didn't even know there was a Sagittaron thingie, on top of everything else. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

So Gaeta is SUCH a good guy, awwwww.
