The greatest street parade in human history...

The greatest street parade in human history happened right here last weekend. In our little town. by the bait and tackle store and post office. On the streets our knees were skinned on while we projected our bikes off crudely built ramps. Cinder blocks and wood.
You were away at that fancy computer camp, so you totally missed it. Too bad for you. That computer camp. You were showing off the pamphlet for it all week at school. Well, my oldest friend, did they have elephants stacked as pyramids at your fancy computer camp? Were there lights that made the sap on the trees hum and fireworks that swallowed other fireworks until the explosion carefully mapped out our futures. Silent veins of color. dripping down, digging for worms and reaching up to hug the stars.

On the bus ride home did you sense that our town had changed more than your new found knowledge of DOS commands and floppy techniques?
