Lovely! My brother used to live in San Jose but, oddly, never mentioned the park. I'll have to see what's what about that! *g* We have something similar in my area. Some is paved (mostly in Grand Rapids,) some not (in the suburbs.)

When we first came here there wasn't much to the park really, mainly work dealing with flood control downtown but in the last few years, they have worked steadily to take on what amounts to abut 3 miles of river parkway.

What part of San Jose did your brother live in?

Well, I goofed up. What it was is that my brother worked in San Jose. They lived on Marlowe St. and Turner in Fremont, which apparently San Jose is a suburb of.

I just have to say, if your brother told you San Jose is a suburb of Fremont he was messing with you :) Fremont is in Alameda County East Bay population 240,000 while San Jose is Santa Clara County South Bay population 1,025,000 and also the 'capitol' of Silicon Valley. If anything, they are both suburbs of San Francisco but even that is a pretty old trope :)

Oh, no, it wasn't my brother, it was Wikipedia! Which, we all know, is never wrong. *g* After I realized my mistake, I went looking to see how far apart the two cities were. I was surprised when it claimed that one was the suburb of the other, though they're really not that far apart from each other.
